A synthetically hard compound of silicon and carbon, Silicon Carbide or Carborundum is a semiconductor and a important material mostly used as an applicant for rocket engines, cutting tools and heating elements in furnaces. Also known as the chemical fomula (SiC), Carborundum was discovered by the inventor Edward G. Acheson in the late 19th century while trying to produce artificial diamonds.
For healing purposes: Carborundum is a very interesting material. With its beautiful iridescent glow, this "mineral" is not a mineral at all due to it being man-made, but as most things in the world, you can feel the energies that Silicon Carbide generates. Known as the stone of dreamers, this material encourages your creative energy with oneself and its best used during sleep to help generate lucid dreams.
